ETH, tokens and gas

Ethereum casino: ETH, the gas fee and the cashiers' coin lists

The fee you pay when you send ETH is called gas, and it is measured not by the amount you send but by the computation the transaction requires. This page covers the arithmetic of gas, where ERC-20 tokens stand at the cashier, and the coin lists the operators publish.

At an Ethereum casino cashier you meet two kinds of asset: ETH, the chain's own coin, and the ERC-20 tokens that run on Ethereum. Both are sent from the same wallet, often from the same screen; even so, they have to be treated separately when it comes to the fee, the minimum amount and the risk of error.

We read the protocol-side information from ethereum.org's developer documentation on 15 September 2026. The day each operator clause was read stands beside the clause.

Gas: how the fee for an ETH send is worked out

ethereum.org defines gas as the unit that measures the computational effort required to carry out a transaction on the network. The formula for the fee is on the same page: the amount of gas spent times the price per unit, that is the base fee plus the priority fee.

What that formula means at the cashier is clear: gas does not grow with the amount of ETH you send. A transfer of 0.01 ETH and a transfer of 1 ETH spend the same amount of gas if they are of the same kind. On a small send, the share taken by the fee rises markedly.

For anyone thinking of betting with Ethereum the practical upshot is this: on deposits close to the minimum, gas can take away a noticeable part of the deposit. Sending the same money once rather than in several small pieces reduces the total fee paid.

Every Go to the site button in this table opens the same address: the casino that pays for promotion on this site, not the business named in the row beside it. The file , on the other hand, goes to that business's own record; the clauses behind the scores are quoted there. The scores are counted from published terms and register entries, and that count is not for sale.

The six casinos that fill this page’s columns most completely with their own documents; the number before the name is its place in the ranking. Data read 24 August – 12 September 2026.

A small calculation in gwei

Let us make the formula concrete with an example. The unit prices below are an arithmetic example only, not one day's market price.

  • At a unit price of 10 gwei, a plain ETH transfer pays 21,000 × 10 = 210,000 gwei, that is 0.00021 ETH.
  • At a unit price of 2 gwei, the same transfer pays 42,000 gwei, that is 0.000042 ETH.

Put those two lines beside a cashier's minimum and the picture becomes clear. The table in Bitcasino.io's help centre gives the minimum deposit for ETH as 0.00013 ETH (2 September 2026). In the first example the fee is larger than the minimum itself; in the second it is more than a third of the minimum. For anyone thinking of playing with small amounts, gas is therefore a cost that comes before the cashier's own rules.

If your wallet shows an estimated fee before the send, compare it with the amount you want to deposit. If the ratio looks too high to you, you can postpone the send or raise the amount.

Where the difference between ETH and a token shows at the cashier

ETH is the Ethereum chain's own coin; ERC-20 tokens are records held in contracts on the chain. The most concrete expression of that difference at the cashier is the fee. Because gas is paid in ETH, according to ethereum.org, when you send USDT or any other token over Ethereum the fee comes out of your ETH balance rather than out of the token.

The upshot is that someone whose wallet holds only tokens may be unable to start a send at all without ETH. Leaving a small share of ETH in the wallet before depositing a token into the cashier is useful for exactly that reason. Remember too that the token may have its own line at the cashier, its own minimum and often its own deposit address.

ERC-20 tokens and the wrong-address risk

ERC-20, according to ethereum.org, is a standard written for tokens that are identical to one another. Tether likewise lists the Ethereum version of USDT as “Ethereum Blockchain (ERC20)”.

The same ethereum.org page carries an important warning: ERC-20 tokens can be lost permanently if they are sent to a smart contract that was not designed to handle them. The standard has no mandatory mechanism for telling a receiving contract that tokens have arrived.

On the cashier side that comes down to this: send a token only to the address the cashier shows for that token and that network. The operators' texts write the same risk in their own language:

  • Rainbet, cl. 7.9: says the risk of permanent loss is high on deposits made with a coin or network it does not support (2 September 2026).
  • Wolfbet, cl. 14 §9: does not credit an amount below the minimum on the deposit page, and states that such sends may be rejected on the chain or by the provider and lost for good (15 September 2026).

ETH itself can travel on more than one network too. If the cashier asks you to choose a network for ETH, do not send without matching that to the selection in your wallet. How the networks differ is on the comparison of TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20.

ETH and the other coins on Ethereum casino lists

All five operators that count their accepted coins in their own text have ETH on the list:

  • Wolfbet: the list in the FAQ runs to 32 items (2 September 2026).
  • Rocketpot: 13 items in cl. 7.1 and 10.1; alongside Ethereum, tokens such as Dai and USD Coin are on the list too (reread 15 September 2026).
  • Bitcasino.io: the help-centre article counts 12 items, 13 together with the deposit table (2 September 2026).
  • Wild Fortune: 10 items in the rows on the payments page.
  • Rainbet: names nine and leaves the list open-ended.

For Vave and the other seven operators in the ranking this field is «—». The token lists do not say on which chain items such as Dai and USD Coin are accepted; that has to be read off the network label on the cashier screen.

Lay the five lists on top of one another and the “other coins” side becomes readable too. BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, TRX, BNB and USDT appear on all five. DOGE and ADA are on four, and are not among the nine coins Rainbet names. USDC stands on four as well; it does not appear in the ten rows on Wild Fortune's payments page. Wolfbet's list of 32 items, meanwhile, reaches down to tokens of very low unit value such as SHIB, PEPE, BONK and FLOKI.

In Rocketpot's ordering in cl. 7.1, Ethereum comes second, immediately after Bitcoin. This comparison is not a recommendation but only a hint as to which coin will spring fewer surprises on the cashier screen. A coin being on the list does not mean it is accepted on every network and at every amount.

A long list does not mean a better cashier. The number of coins does not enter the score; the five criteria that set the score are built on the identity clause, the document deadline and the licence register. All the criteria and the operators' scores are in the ranking on the home page.

The minimum amount: every coin has its own line

Not every coin named on a list works at every amount; the minimum is written separately per coin.

  • Bitcasino.io, help-centre table: the minimum deposit for ETH is 0.00013 ETH (2 September 2026).
  • Wild Fortune, cl. 10.4: the minimum deposit is €20; the ETH equivalent varies with the rate at the moment of the send.
  • Wolfbet, cl. 14 §6: a single deposit can be at most the equivalent of $50,000, and the equivalent is worked out at the rate at the moment the deposit is made (15 September 2026).

Think about gas and the minimum together. The minimum on screen is the amount that has to reach the cashier; if your wallet deducts the fee from inside the send, set the margin accordingly. All the per-coin minimum tables are on the six steps at the cashier page.

Three deductions: gas, the cashier fee, the conversion difference

Three separate deductions can arise when you deposit and withdraw ETH, and each goes to a different party:

  1. Gas. Paid to the chain; the base-fee part is burned. Not in the operator's hands.
  2. The cashier's fee. The operator's own decision. In cl. 8.2 Rainbet takes no withdrawal fee from a player who has wagered the deposit at least once (2 September 2026). In cl. 10.7 Shuffle.com writes that a fee may be applied and will be shown on screen before you confirm (8 September 2026).
  3. The conversion difference. The gap between the buy and the sell price when you convert ETH into lira or into USDT at an exchange. It does not appear as a separate fee line; it is inside the price.

The same three items apply on a withdrawal, only the order reverses: when the cashier sends the ETH, the chain fee is again paid in ETH, and the conversion difference comes into play when it reaches the exchange. At operators such as Shuffle.com, which show the cashier fee on screen before the confirmation, you can see that figure before you press the button. The three items do not stand in for one another; each is paid separately. Where the difference on the exchange side arises is on the route from coin to lira page.

Betting with Ethereum: the rate and the wagering requirement

If the balance is held in ETH, its lira equivalent moves even if you place no bet at all. Limits written in dollars do not stay fixed as an amount of ETH either: the $8,000 a week in Wolfbet cl. 15 §5 corresponds to a different amount of ETH every week, depending on the rate.

On the sport side the wagering requirement can differ from the casino. In cl. 8.11 Vave requires the amount deposited to be wagered once on sport and three times on casino and live casino (25 August 2026). If you plan to use the balance on sport when betting with Ethereum, that difference cuts the amount you have to play through before a withdrawal to a third. All the consequences of holding the balance in coin are on the rate and limit clauses page.

Five questions before you send

  1. The asset. Are you sending ETH, or a token on Ethereum? The two may have separate lines at the cashier.
  2. The network. Is the network label on the cashier screen the same as the network you selected in your wallet?
  3. The fee. Is there enough ETH in the wallet to cover gas, and how much of the deposit does the estimated fee take?
  4. The minimum. Once the fee is deducted, does the amount reaching the cashier stay above the minimum on that coin's line?
  5. Wagering and the way out. If your plan for betting with Ethereum is sport, one round of wagering may be required; if it is casino, three (Vave cl. 8.11). At Rocketpot, under cl. 11.1, the money goes back in the coin used for the deposit and to the same wallet (2 September 2026).

Blocks and finality in an Ethereum casino account

According to ethereum.org, on Ethereum since its move to proof of stake time is divided into 12-second slots and into epochs of 32 slots. A transaction counts as finalized once the block it sits in can only be altered by burning a very large amount of ETH.

How many confirmations the cashier requires before it accepts an ETH deposit is for the operator to set. In cl. 10.5 Rocketpot makes the amount usable on one block confirmation; in cl. 6.1 Bitcasino.io requires three confirmations before a withdrawal request resting on the deposit. The confirmation counts are set out side by side on the cashiers' confirmation counts page.

Frequently asked questions

Why does gas change when I send ETH to an Ethereum casino cashier?
According to ethereum.org the fee is the gas spent times the price per unit, that is the base fee plus the priority fee. A plain ETH transfer spends 21,000 gas; what changes is the price per unit. Because the fee does not grow with the amount of ETH sent, its share is higher on a small deposit. The operator's own fee is a separate item on top of that.
For betting with Ethereum, should I use ETH or an ERC-20 token?
That depends on the list the cashier accepts and on your preference about the rate. In ETH the lira equivalent of the balance moves with the rate; in an ERC-20 token such as USDT the dollar equivalent stays fixed. Whichever you choose, send only to the address the cashier shows for that asset and that network. The fee is paid in ETH either way.
Does ETH or a token sent over the wrong network come back?
The operators' texts record this as a risk. Rainbet notes in cl. 7.9 the risk of permanent loss on a deposit arriving over an unsupported coin or network, and Wolfbet states in cl. 14 §9 that a send below the minimum can be lost for good. ethereum.org likewise writes that ERC-20 tokens can be lost when sent to an unsuitable contract.
